CFL are the latest rage. I think it’s both a good and bad thing.
Good: it’s energy efficient and long-lasting as long as you do it right
Bad: it’s more complicated than just sticking in whatever incandescent bulb to whatever voltage, it’s more expensive, it’s less versatile and easier to use wrong, and it’s more difficult to dispose since it contain toxic material.
But you can get one for free! This website is throwing them at people who would register. Million Lights Project or something.

Is this any good? It’s having a MIR promotion that makes it FREE after rebate. And I thought the original frosted wheats were pretty ok.
I signed up for a twitter account a while back, but I just updated my profile on it. And made a post. With my phone. Thank God for $30 family plan unlimited text messaging package… I’ll probably just use it to live blog.

Because it makes you spend money?
But I need to have some financial discipline. I guess books like ROBOT I will keep buying, but I certainly don’t have to. On the other hand like Tsukihime vol 1-4 is worth buying because, lol, it’s something I want to read.
How about Warcraft 3 TFT? I suppose 5 years ago I wanted to buy it at $13 and didn’t, so now it’s $10 I ought to.

50% Off Certificates at Restaurant.com!
So that means a usual 40-50% saving based on tiered (and often very restricted) gift certificates is now a 65-75% saving. I’ve used one of these gift cards before (but not bought) and I had a good time paying $30 and ate $55 worth of food.
Could use one for Bonefish Grill…
There’s a ton of restaurants in NYC, wonder which one is worth going to…

…is the talk of Fatwallet and SD.
To note–the promotion requires you to sing up with live.com and click through one of its ads. Consequently if you make a bona fide purchase with eBay via Buy It Now, you get 35% cash back, up to $250, after 2 months courtesy of Microsoft. There are some catch to this such as flubby terms of limitation–we’re not sure what’s eligible and what is not. It seems not everything is eligible, for starters. And it seems you can do this three times per account.
YMMV @ your own risk indeed…but it’s a great deal if you are looking to buy. Or scam, maybe.
